Outstanding Historical Houses

In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, merchants, soap factory owners and other wealthy people of the city had built distinctive houses.

These buildings are marvelous examples that display the characteristic features of traditional architecture in the city of Nablus.

A lot of these houses display specific architectural characteristics. The main distinguishing features are the spaces built to satisfy the social needs of the owners represented by the dīwān. For the sake of fulfilling economic needs there had been a soap factory, and or a bath-house for serving needs
