
Nablus province is looked upon as a centre for the northern provinces of Palestine, where it is bordered from the north by the provinces of Jenin & Tubas, from the south by Ramallah & Jerusalem, from the east by Jericho and from the west by Tulkarm & Qalqilia, denoting that two hundred & sixty villages are located in the Nablus province, including four refugee camps which lie within its borders.
The area of the province extends across a surface of 605 km2, whereas the area of the city is about 29 km2, and the area of the old city in its middle is about 300 dunums, "0.3 km2". The population of the province, according to the 2020 census is about 415,600 people, and the population of the old city is about 167,440 people. The registered population of the camps is about 27,770 people.
